Everything you need to know about our 3D printing services.
Billing
If a completed part is defective or does not match the approved quote, contact us within 7 days of delivery or pickup with photos and your quote reference. We will review the issue and, when appropriate, offer a reprint, credit, or refund. Problems caused by the submitted design or an approved material/process limitation are reviewed case by case.
After we review your model and requirements, we send a firm quote. Approved jobs are paid through a secure Stripe payment or invoice link before production. We do not take payment from an unreviewed browser estimate.
Materials
The current service is focused on PLA, PETG, ABS, and TPU on a Bambu Lab P1S. Material choice depends on heat, flexibility, strength, appearance, and environment. Specialty and fiber-filled materials are not standard offerings until the required hardware and process have been validated.
Ordering
Use the Request Quote page to send your contact details, intended use, material preference, quantity, timing, and optional model file. We accept STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP, and STP files up to 50 MB. We review the real geometry before confirming price and production timing.
The quote form accepts STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP, and STP files up to 50 MB. If you have several files or a different format, contact us before sending them so we can agree on a private transfer method.
Every valid quote request receives a private status link by email. That page shows whether the request is new, under review, quoted, paid, printing, ready, shipped, completed, or declined. Reply to the quote email if you need an update or correction.
Pickup or shipping is priced after the part and destination are reviewed. Local pickup is available by arrangement. Shipped work is quoted with an appropriate tracked service; shipping cost is included in the firm quote before you pay.
New — received; Reviewing — the model and requirements are being checked; Quoted — a firm price is ready; Paid — payment is confirmed; Printing — production is underway; Ready — pickup can be arranged; Shipped — tracking is available; Completed — fulfilled; Declined — the project is not a fit.
Contact us as soon as possible with your quote reference. Changes are usually straightforward before production begins. Once material has been used or the part has shipped, added work or replacement costs may apply. We confirm the impact before proceeding.
Repeat pricing is available after the first part and print process have been approved. For larger quantities, submit the target quantity, material, deadline, and model through the quote form. We will recommend a prototype-first plan and quote only the volume the current capacity can support reliably.
Reply to the quote confirmation email as soon as possible and identify the corrected file. If production has not begun, we can replace the model during review. If an approved print has already started, we will explain any added cost before rework.
Yes. Local pickup is available by prior arrangement in Marlborough, Massachusetts. The listed mailing address is not a walk-in storefront, so wait for a ready notice and agreed pickup instructions.
Reorder through the quote form and include the previous quote reference. If the design, material, color, and quantity are unchanged, the proven setup can usually be reviewed more quickly. We still confirm capacity and price before payment.
After a valid submission, we email a private quote-status link. Firm pricing and later job updates can be sent through the same workflow. For shipped work, tracking details are added when available.
Use the estimator only for a broad planning range, then click Upload for Quote. Submit the actual model, intended use, material preference, quantity, timing, and fulfillment. We review the geometry and send a firm price and approved Stripe payment link before production.
Click the Sign In / Register link in the top navigation, then choose Sign Up. Enter your email address and we will send you a secure link to set your name and password — no username required. Creating an account is free and optional — you can always request a quote as a guest without registering.
Yes — on the Sign In or Register page, click 'Continue with Google' to create an account or log in instantly using your Google credentials. This skips password creation entirely and works just like a regular account for managing your profile.
Yes. On the quote form choose Design help and describe the part using a photo, sketch, purpose, and rough dimensions. We will determine whether the work is a good fit and quote CAD or reverse-engineering work separately before it begins.
There is no universal minimum quantity, but each job must cover review, setup, production, and fulfillment. One-off parts are welcome when the project value makes sense. The Budget Estimator gives a planning range; the model review determines the firm price.
Pricing
The Budget Estimator provides a broad planning range based on job size, material, quantity, finish, and design help. It does not slice your geometry and is not a checkout price. A firm quote follows review of the actual model, supports, risk, finishing, and fulfillment.
The budget range can differ from a firm quote because actual geometry determines print time, supports, material use, orientation, failure risk, and finishing. We explain the firm price and get approval before payment or production.
Services
LatticeWorks 3D currently provides FDM filament printing on an owner-operated Bambu Lab P1S. The focus is practical prototypes, fixtures, replacement parts, enclosures, and proven repeat batches. Resin printing is not currently offered.
Timing is confirmed after the model, quantity, material, finishing, and current queue are reviewed. Rush work may be possible, but no fixed turnaround is promised before technical review. Shipping time is separate from production time.
Use the Request Quote page to upload STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP, or STP files over HTTPS. Quote model files are stored outside public web paths under random private filenames and are available only to authorized production staff.
Yes. Every quote file is reviewed for obvious geometry, wall, orientation, support, material, and use-case concerns. We will flag issues or scope design help before confirming price. Review reduces risk but does not replace engineering validation for safety-critical parts.
Rush scheduling is sometimes available after file review and depends on current capacity, material, print duration, and failure risk. Choose the rush timing option on the quote form; we will confirm feasibility, price, and the real completion target before payment.
Export at the correct scale and units, use closed geometry, remove accidental internal bodies, and identify critical dimensions, mating surfaces, load, heat, and appearance requirements. If you are unsure, upload the file anyway and describe how the part must work; we will flag obvious printability concerns.
Yes. Add your preferred color to the quote request. Availability varies by material and current stock; we confirm the exact color or an acceptable substitute before production.
Achievable fit depends on material, geometry, orientation, feature size, and machine calibration. Do not rely on a universal tolerance claim for a critical part. State required dimensions and fits in the quote request; when needed, we will recommend a test coupon or first article before a batch.
Our FDM printers have a maximum build volume of 256 × 256 × 256 mm (approximately 10" × 10" × 10"). Parts larger than this must be split into sections and bonded together. If your design exceeds this size, request a quote and note the final dimensions — we can advise on how to split the model and what joining method works best for your material and application.
Necessary supports and basic cleanup are included in the reviewed production plan. Sanding, priming, painting, inserts, or assembly are quoted only when the project and current capability support them. Any added work is listed before payment.
We check models for obvious printability issues and can scope minor repair or design assistance. Significant CAD changes or reverse engineering are quoted separately; no design work begins until scope and price are approved.
The Gallery is being rebuilt using only parts actually printed by LatticeWorks 3D. Stock and synthetic project images were removed. New case studies will be added only when real work and customer permission support them.
Yes — after you've had an experience with us, sign in and visit the Leave a Review page to share a star rating, a short quote, and an optional photo. You'll need to be logged in to submit a review, and featured reviews may appear on our site and homepage.
Support
Quote files are transmitted over HTTPS, renamed randomly, stored outside public web paths, and restricted to authorized production access. We do not display customer files publicly. For unusually sensitive work, contact us before uploading so confidentiality and transfer requirements can be agreed first.
For quote, file, or job questions, reply to the quote email, use the Contact page, or call/text (978) 643-8662. Include your quote reference and any relevant photos or dimensions so we can match the request quickly.
Quote files are retained only as needed to review, produce, support, and potentially reorder the job. You can request deletion by replying to the quote email or using the Contact page with your name, email, and quote reference.
Click the Forgot Password link on the Sign In page (or go to /forgot-password) and enter the email address associated with your account. We will send you a reset link valid for a limited time. Click the link in the email to choose a new password. If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder or contact support.
